Our mission is to offer systematic education and knowledge enhancement in all maritime areas. We provide education for both companies and individuals who want to enhance competencies in specific maritime fields by introducing education which is either entirely e-platform based or a combination of distant learning and training centre sessions/examinations. We offer companies a platform to monitor and evaluate the training status of each employee at ‘real time’. We also suggest an advanced way of communication between trainees themselves and with coaches via dedicated chat rooms, e-mail exchange, etc. Companies can broadcast important news to their employees and receive automatic notifications that the messages have been read. Our Website contains information specific to companies, vessels or equipment aimed at preventing accidents.

Note that this Interactive Services Policy is a supplement to the Magellan Privacy Policy and Magellan Terms & Conditions. This Interactive Services Policy should be read together with the Magellan Privacy Policy and Magellan Terms & Conditions.

Upon registration with one or more of the programmes of training that Magellan offers, trainees are encouraged to use the chat rooms and exchange e-mails with the Magellan coach stuff and your fellow trainees for training purposes. Only trainees and coach staff have access to the Magellan chat rooms and are able to exchange educational e-mails.

Both trainees and visitors of the Website have access to, and may use the forums and/or blogs.

Account, Password, and Security

You agree that all information you provide in registration or otherwise is true, accurate, and complete. In order to obtain access to the Interactive Services, you will be required to designate a username and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your username or password. Any information on trainees kept by Magellan or personal data of forum and/or blog users that may become available will not be processed in any other way unless the user specifically consents in accordance with the Cyprus Processing of Personal Data (Protection of Individuals) Law of 2001.
